In the fall, I have Damon Neagle, Attorney at Law, of Saidman Design Law Firm in Washington D.C. lined up to speak to our group. Topics will include: Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks, and other Design business related issues. This will be really interesting; Damon is a great guy, very energetic and extremely knowledgeable. Forget the stereotypes, he’s cool; he has to be since he primarily works with designers and inventors. You will have the chance to ask him anything about design and contract law issues (No attorney fees either!). We need a venue in Indianapolis for this meeting; the date has not been set. The proposed month is either September or October. Please let me know if you can host it or suggest a place.

Another meeting I am putting together in September is at Indy 500 track during one of the Formula One practice days, (last 2 weeks of the month, the Grand Prix is on Sept. 30th).The idea being that we could tour some the racing related vendors, visit the Museum, view the practice and check out the pit garages. Any help with this event would be greatly appreciated. It is a truly stunning and glamorous racing event.

Other events I would like to propose:

Meeting at the Kinsey Institute (yes, the sex institute and museum). It is located in Bloomington, on the Indiana University campus. Including a visit to the I.U. art museum. For this event I have to have exact number of attendees. Maybe, this could happen in the fall/early winter to help maximize attendance. Visit LaPorte Automobile Museum and follow up at Notre Dame?
