Creative use of materials include stainless steel backsplash, matching stainless appliances, maple cabinets and contrasting horizontal planes of black tile and counter tops, allow the users ample space for working and socializing. A kitchen that was originally too small for more than one person now comfortably accommodates multiple preparation areas and allows through traffic to the spacious new laundry/mud area that also includes an office nook.
