Cypress
flourishes
in
marshlands
and
wetlands
but
is
highly
tolerant
of
a broad
range
of
soil
types
and
is
drought
resistant.
The
Bald
Cypress
is
popular
as
a landscape
tree
and
can
reach
a heigth
of
100
ft.
Because
of
a very
large
taproot
the
signature
cypress
"knees",
large
root
shaped
forms
at
the
bottom
the
trunk,
develop
when
a tree
grows
near
water
in
very
wet
soil.
